If Your Internet Service is included in your HOA: DON’T ADD VERIZON FIOS TV!!!

When I finally moved into The New Jawn, I was ecstatic that my internet service came in the amenities package. My apartment complex uses Verizon for their internet services.

Since my disability qualifies me for the Internet Essentials Program, I was able to use that program to offset my mobile phone bill, so I switched my mobile services to Verizon as well.

Then I suppose I got greedy, and thought why not get cable as well.🤷🏻‍♀️

So I did, I got FIOS TV, but didn’t know they bill one month in advance . Unfortunately after making one $200 payment, I fell behind and my FIOS TV service was suspended. I take full responsibility and planned on making arrangements soon.

But what I didn’t expect was that VERIZON DISCONNECTED MY INTERNET TOO!!!

Logically, since I paid my rent and my Internet is included in my rent, I thought I paid my internet too.

No because Verizon linked my TV & Internet together and then blamed me for not reading my contract.

So now I’m paying for a service that I no longer have until I pay off the FIOS TV bill. They also want the payment arrangements to start today and then it’ll take 24-48 hours to turn my internet back on.

Although I paid my internet with my rent, hence my angst 🙄😑

I’ll take suggestions & any legal advice cuz I call bull 💩.
